sundet III

The Sundet III town plan defines an intimately-scaled residential area, built on fields, patches of forest and wooded knolls, that will become part of the overall Kartanonranta entity. The maritime-flavoured area will accommodate approximately 1,250 residents.

018.jpgThe Sundet I and Sundet II town plans previously prepared for the Kartanonranta area are now legally in force. The Sundet III town plan, covering the third part of Kartanonranta near Espoonlahti Bay, is now being drawn up according to a land use agreement concluded between the municipality and landowner.

Eventually accommodating approximately 2,600 residents, Kartanonranta will be built as a primarily low-rise residential area joined to the Masala civic entity. The justifications for constructing the area within Kirkkonummi’s municipal structure include economically advantageous traffic connections, as well as the proximity of the Helsinki Metropolitan Area its regional growth pressures.

The design of the residential sites has aimed at achieving a safe and stimulating environment that respects and incorporates the existing natural surroundings. The low-rise housing stock consists of terrace houses or semi-detached houses, and single-family houses.
