Recreational activities
Kartanonranta’s sports and outdoor recreation park is a vast contiguous area offering a wide range of possibilities for structured sports or free-form recreational activities. Near the school that will be located along Sundsbergintie Road will be a playing field serving schools during daytime hours can be used by the public in the evenings.
Besides the playing fields that will be built for the area, vast stretches of forest and meadow areas will be left in their natural state for outdoor recreation and hiking. The proximity of the sea facilitates activities such as canoeing, rowing and dinghy sailing.
Active Kartanonranta residents have also organised a wide variety of activities, including a mother-child club, wine-tasting club, multicultural club, Nordic walking society as well as various residents’ events ranging from winter olympics to sea days. Near the village of Masala is a riding stable as well as the Blue1 Arena, a large hall for indoor sports.
At Masala, active Sundsberg residents have established the Dojo Masala activity centre that functions in the Blue1 Arena’s facilities. The activity centre enables people of all ages to participate in a wide range of physical and cultural activities. For further information, visit www.dojo.ms.
